In this workshop, you will learn how to preserve flowers through pressing and create your own beautiful pressed flower artwork to take home.
Over refreshing glasses of a flower-infused drink, we will come together to explore all things pressed flowers. You will learn which flowers are best suited to pressing, where to find them in the wild or how to grow them yourself, and the materials and techniques needed to achieve the best results.
We will then take a closer look at the flowers we are working with, exploring their botanical characteristics, folklore, medicinal uses, and the stories they carry.
The workshop will conclude with a calm and creative session where you will create your own pressed flower artwork using a selection of pre-pressed flowers.
This workshop is designed to deepen your relationship with plants, inspire creativity, and bring people together through a shared appreciation of the natural world.
A flower-infused drink and a delicious seasonal treat will be provided.
Where: King John's Nursery, Etchingham, East Sussex, TN19 7AZ
When: Saturday 18th July, 10am–12pm
