Natural Dyeing

£45.00

In this workshop, you will learn how to create beautiful natural dyes using flowers and other plant materials.

Over refreshing glasses of a flower-infused drink, we will come together to explore the colourful world of natural dyeing. Following an introduction to the history and traditions of natural dye, we will learn which plants are best suited for dyeing, where to find them in the wild or how to grow them yourself, and the materials, methods, and techniques needed to achieve the best results.

We will then take a closer look at the plants we are working with, exploring their botanical characteristics, folklore, traditional uses, and the stories they carry.

The workshop will conclude with a calm and creative dyeing session, where you will create your own naturally dyed swatches and colour palette to take home, providing inspiration for future creative projects.

This workshop is designed to deepen your relationship with plants, inspire creativity, and bring people together through a shared appreciation of the natural world.

A flower-infused drink and a delicious seasonal treat will be provided.

Where: King John's Nursery, Etchingham, East Sussex, TN19 7AZ

When: Saturday August 15th, 10am–12pm
